Mass Energy – save some money on heating

As part of my followup on the National Grid blog, people in Massachusetts should take a look at the Mass Energy website. www.massenergy.com. The site is run by a non-profit organization that offers individuals discounted energy sources. The site also provides information on how one can get solar and green electricity, through a program called the New England Wind Fund. It describes how towns/cities can get involved (through the Clean Energy Choice program), with potential matching grants for those towns’cities that sign up and support clean energy.
According to their website, the organization has been around “since 1982 and now serves 10,000 households.”
