20th-century Urdu Sufi poet and scholar (he translated and Ibn al-&#8216;Arabi&#8217;s Fu\u1e63\u016b\u1e63 al-Hikam and Fut\u016b\u1e25\u0101t al-Makkiyya and al-\u1e24all\u0101j&#8217;s Kit\u0101b al-\u1e6caw\u0101s\u012bn into Urdu) in these beautiful translations by Amer Latif from this article:<\/p>\n<p>Latif, Amer. &#8220;\u1e94ah\u012bn Sh\u0101h T\u0101j\u012b\u2019s (d. 1978) Signs of class=\"p1\">Something Else!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">(<em>Har chand kis\u012b shay mey\u1e45 nah\u012b\u1e45 jalwa kun\u0101\u1e45 awr<\/em>)<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Though there is no one else<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Manifesting in all that there is;<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">In everything, those looking<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">fancy seeing something else.<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">You are not other, I am not other<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">\u201cNo\u201d is not other, \u201cYes\u201d is not other;<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The Lords of certainty are one thing,<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The companions of surmise something else.<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Whom else will they seek,<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Whom else will they find?<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">They will leave your door,<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">But can they go anywhere else?<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The people of the garden are busy<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Remembering the garden, but friend:<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The language of flowers is one thing<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The language of thorns something else.<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Lower your eyes, bow down,<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Ask for vision, ask for a heart;<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The eye that sees is one thing,<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The heart that sees is something else.<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Look at the scattered pieces of the self:<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The body is one thing,<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">the soul something else;<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The heart is one thing,<\/h6>\n<h6>the tongue something else.<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">With the wood of reason,<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Feed the fire of love.<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Sit and watch for a while:<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The smoke from the blaze is something else.<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">All the drunks, Zaheen, live in different worlds;<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">Though the wine is not different,<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The wine cup is not different, and<\/h6>\n<h6 class=\"p1\">The wine giver is not someone
