When my bier moveth on the day of death<\/h6>\n
Think not my heart is in this world.<\/h6>\n
Do not weep for me and cry “woe, woe!”<\/h6>\n
Thou wilt fall in the devil’s snare: that is woe<\/h6>\n
When thou seest my hearse, cry not, “gone, gone!”<\/h6>\n
Union and meeting are mine in that hour<\/h6>\n
If thou commit me to the grave, say not “Farewell, farewell”<\/h6>\n
For the grave is a curtain hiding the communion of paradise<\/h6>\n
After beholding descent, consider resurrection<\/h6>\n
Why should setting be injurious to the sun and moon?<\/h6>\n
To thee it seems a setting, but ’tis a rising’<\/h6>\n
Tho’ the vault seems a prison, ’tis the release of a soul<\/h6>\n
What seed went down into the earth but it grew?<\/h6>\n
Why this doubt of thine as regards the seed of man?<\/h6>\n
