My glance at the face of the beloved is bliss<\/h6>\n
and separation from she whom I love is agony to me<\/h6>\n
I am he who has not been pitied as a lover<\/h6>\n
until, worn out, I became a mercy for the lovers<\/h6>\n
O planter\u00a0of the basil around our tents<\/h6>\n
Don’t plant\u00a0the basil for you are not\u00a0staying<\/h6>\n
Not\u00a0all who taste love know love<\/h6>\n
Not all who drink wine are drinking buddies<\/h6>\n
Not all who seek happiness attain it<\/h6>\n
Not all who read the book understand it<\/h6>\n
My wealth is but a tongue that when I speak I wrong myself<\/h6>\n
And God knows, I am indeed wronged<\/h6>\n
