As we conduct our research, we are engaging multiple stakeholders to develop shared good practices that promote positive educational outcomes, harness technological and pedagogical innovations, and protect critical values.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\">Our work centers on three overlapping clusters:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\"><span class=\"inline-topic inline-topic-expectations\" style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit;color: #800080\">Privacy Expectations &amp; Attitudes<\/span>,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\"><span class=\"inline-topic inline-topic-school-practices\" style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit;color: #33cccc\">School Practices &amp; Policies<\/span>, and<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\"><span class=\"inline-topic inline-topic-law\" style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit;color: #ffcc00\">Law &amp; Policy<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\">\u00a0In the context of each cluster and the intersections between them, we hope to produce concrete outputs that:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\">Address multidisciplinary, multistakeholder challenges, needs, concerns, and opportunities in targeted ways;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\">Offer research and analysis that is relevant and useful to practitioners and scholars;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\">Present work in accessible formats; and<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit\">Bridge stakeholder perspectives and translate core findings across different contexts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview The Berkman Center\u2019s Student Privacy Initiative, led by Executive Director Urs Gasser, explores the opportunities and challenges that may arise as educational institutions consider adopting cloud computing technologies.
