{"id":319,"date":"2010-02-22T07:54:50","date_gmt":"2010-02-22T11:54:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/studentgov\/?p=319"},"modified":"2010-02-22T07:54:50","modified_gmt":"2010-02-22T11:54:50","slug":"truman-national-security-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/studentgov\/2010\/02\/22\/truman-national-security-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Truman National Security Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/org2.democracyinaction.org\/dia\/track.jsp?key=-1&amp;url_num=2&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.trumanproject.org%2F\" target=\"_blank\">Truman National Security Project<\/a> is a national security leadership institute-the nation&#8217;s only organization that recruits, trains, and positions a new generation of progressives across America to lead on national security.<\/p>\n<p>Our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/org2.democracyinaction.org\/dia\/track.jsp?key=-1&amp;url_num=3&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.trumanproject.org%2Fabout%2Fmission\" target=\"_blank\">Mission<\/a> is to provide the skills, knowledge, and network to create an influential force of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/org2.democracyinaction.org\/dia\/track.jsp?key=-1&amp;url_num=4&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.trumanproject.org%2Fabout%2Fpeople%2Ffellows\" target=\"_blank\">leaders<\/a> across the country who advance strong progressive national security policy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/org2.democracyinaction.org\/dia\/track.jsp?key=-1&amp;url_num=5&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dp5J-8u4Hyrc%26amp%3Bfeature%3Dplayer_embedded\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> to hear from some of our Security Fellows, who are running for office around the country, advising presidential and Congressional campaigns, drafting legislation in the halls of Congress, assuming leadership posts in the military, playing key roles in local and national government, and working on the front lines of America&#8217;s homeland security.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Truman Security Fellowship<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/org2.democracyinaction.org\/dia\/track.jsp?key=-1&amp;url_num=6&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.trumanproject.org%2Fprograms%2Ffellowship%2F\" target=\"_blank\">Truman Security Fellowship<\/a> is a highly competitive award for professionals ages 27-40 who show early promise to become our country&#8217;s future progressive leadership.
