This installment brings<br \/>\nMichael Peter Skelly, who is a Principal at Clean Line Energy Partners<br \/>\n(a transmission line company) and was the Democratic candidate for<br \/>\nTexas\u2019s 7th congressional district. \u00a0A graduate of the University of<\/p>\n<p>Notre Dame and Harvard Business School, Skelly has worked in the Peace<br \/>\nCorps, in ecotourism, and in energy firms. \u00a0He most recently served as<br \/>\nthe chief development officer for \u00a0Horizon Wind Energy, the third<br \/>\nlargest wind company in the United States.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.environment.harvard.edu\/events\/index.htm?event_id=187586602\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.environment.harvard.edu\/events\/index.htm?event_id=187586602<\/a><\/p>\n<p>**<\/p>\n<p>Nonproliferation and Chemical Weapons: Challenges in Implementing the<br \/>\nChemical Weapons Convention<br \/>\nWednesday October 14, 2009, Noon<br \/>\nBuilding E40 Room 430, MIT<\/p>\n<p>Speaker Paul Walker is a former congressional staffer of the House<br \/>\nArmed Services Committee and an outspoken scholar on arms control and<br \/>\nnonproliferation policy. He is currently at the non-proift Global<br \/>\nGreen. His bio is at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalgreen.org\/staff\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.globalgreen.org\/staff\/<\/a> Walker will be<\/p>\n<p>speaking at the weekly seminar of the MIT Security Studies Program.<br \/>\nThe Chemical Weapons Convention is a formal international treaty<br \/>\noutlawing the production, stockpiling, or use of chemical weapons. Kennedy Jr. Forum<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Reserve has been at the helm of government efforts to<br \/>\ncontain the current financial crisis. Paul Volcker was chairmen of the<br \/>\nFederal Reserve from 1979-1987 at which point he was succeeded by Alan<br \/>\nGreenspan. Kennedy Jr. Forum<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Ryan Crocker served as U.S. Ambassador to Iraq from<br \/>\n2007-2009 and as Ambassador to Pakistan from 2004-2007.
