{"id":47,"date":"2005-03-11T10:03:51","date_gmt":"2005-03-11T14:03:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/snarl\/2005\/03\/11\/happy-birthday-cake-to-you\/"},"modified":"2005-03-11T10:03:51","modified_gmt":"2005-03-11T14:03:51","slug":"happy-birthday-cake-to-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/snarl\/2005\/03\/11\/happy-birthday-cake-to-you\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy Birthday Cake To You!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a name='a1762'><\/a><\/p>\n<p><P>It&#8217;s my one year anniversary of blogging (the heading for today&#8217;s posting is in reference to the old Eldo Cake House sign in Boston&#8217;s Chinatown &#8211; I believe the&#8217;ve replaced it)!<\/P><br \/>\n<P>So much has happened in the past year &#8211; some good, some bad.&nbsp;I settled into a new condo, Matt&#8217;s brother was living with us, I got a dog, my niece has been in and out of the hospital, I&#8217;ve met some amazing friends on-line that have developed into fabulous face-to-face\/real-life friendships (as well as other on-line friends that I plan to meet in the near future), I know three people that have fought breast cancer (the one I was closest&nbsp;with actually died), I&#8217;ve gone through the break up of a 10-year relationship, I&#8217;ve sold a condo, I&#8217;ve moved to an apartment on my own, I&#8217;ve gone on multiple vacations to Provincetown, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, New York City, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, I&#8217;ve started dating again, I&#8217;ve lost some weight, I&#8217;ve gained some weight, I&#8217;ve had my first cold in two years and I&#8217;ve lost more hair on my head (and gained some in places I&#8217;d rather not mention).<\/P><br \/>\n<P>In celebration of my blogging birthday, and since nobody seemed to have an opinion on a specific picture to replace the one on the right, I shall celebrate this event instead by posting the following link:<\/P><br \/>\n<P><SPAN><FONT face=\"Arial\" color=\"#0000ff\" size=\"2\"><A href=\"http:\/\/www.bobaloorox.com\/KissMov.html\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.bobaloorox.com\/KissMov.html<\/A><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P><br \/>\n<P><SPAN><FONT face=\"Arial\" color=\"black\" size=\"2\">I&#8217;m not&nbsp;a Kiss fan (particularly disco Kiss), but this clip just made me laugh. I mean, how can you not love a roly-poly effeminate bear of&nbsp;a man lip-syncing to a Kiss song? Be sure to watch it through the end to appreciate all of the hand gestures, lip-pursing and suprise guitar-playing!
