I don’t know what it is…but I’ve seen the strangest things the past few days. Generally, I feel like I’ve been in a daze – yet I’ve witnessed the following:<\/P>
\n

1 – this morning there were two older women walking in front of North Station. They were apparently sisters (possibly fraternal twins) but both were dressed identically in the same fur coat, black hat, black dress and “Ugg” style boots. I think it can be cute when infant twins are dressed the same – but there seems to be something tragic when, as adults, they still are incapable of developing their own identity. <\/P>

2 – Also this morning on the train to work was this man who appeared homeless (layers and layers of clothes, shopping bags galore, etc…). When the conductor asked where he was going he made a big scene about the conductor showing him is ID badge. After that, he proceded to yell at the conductor because this train didn’t go to the stop he wanted to go to (he claimed he got off at the same stop the day before). When all was said and done, he paid his fare. Then he pulled out a cell phone and called some friends to complain about the train system. Since when can homeless people afford nicer cell phones than me?<\/P>

3 – and speaking of talking on the train: I was on the red-line and this distinguished looking gentleman in a suit sat across from me carrying a briefcase. Now, I’ve seen people talk to themselves on the train before (hell, even I’ve done that). What was interesting about this guy was that he was holding up his arm and moving his fingers (like a puppet’s mouth) as he mouthed words. Even stranger, he was just mouthing the words and not saying anything out loud. He noticed me watching him and instead of ceasing this peculiar activity – he aimed his talking hand towards me and “hand-talked” evern more – as if his hand was yelling at me. I finally looked away.<\/P>
