I became single in October and came to the realization that I needed some single time to sort myself out after a 10 year relationship. Then it seemed as if people were just crawling out of the woodwork to date me (or, more often than not, sleep wtih me). I feel like a slab of cheese that’s been aging forever and now everybody thinks I’m finally edible.

Now that I’m seeing somebody (Rich – unofficially for two months this coming Saturday – woo hoo!), it’s getting worse. Last week a guy who was seeing a friend of mine (unbenknownst to me) sent me an email after seeing a photo of me at my friend’s place! EEK! How awkward was that when I told my friend about it (not realizing that they had dated)!?!?!?!

And then yesterday, I was on the phone with one of Regina’s nearest and dearest friends (who I also know from having lunch together a few times) and she said she had heard that I broke up with Matt and had “the perfect guy for me”. So even while I’m sad and feeling unattractive and distracted, people are still trying to either hook up with me or hook me up with other people.

It’s funny…the expression is “when it rains, it pours”.
