Aside from the HUGE snow storm that dropped 36 inches of snow in Salem back in December, this winter has been pretty uneventful. I&#8217;ve been going through withdrawal all season so this morning I was thrilled to walk to work in the slushy, slippery snow&#8230;except for one thing:<\/P><br \/>\n<P>back-splat<\/P><br \/>\n<P>This is the bizarre and inexplicable occurance of splattered precipitation that appears on the back sides of my legs whenever it rains or snows. Matt doesn&#8217;t have this problem&#8230;and most people I see on the street don&#8217;t have this problem (I look jealously at people walking around in dry pants).<\/P><br \/>\n<P>I only need to take 5 steps outside and there are muddy dots up and down the back of my leg. My footwear, like a bulldozer, picks up debris and lets me carry it&nbsp;around for the rest of the day in the form of a stain. <\/P><br \/>\n<P>It&#8217;s gotten to the point where I wear a pair of those Adidas nylon running pants over my pants\/jeans to avoid having to do laundry every day it rains or snows.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>So, I&#8217;m asking now&#8230;.does anybody out there know how to prevent this debilitating problem?<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Oh, and here&#8217;s tonight&#8217;s dinner: turkey keilbasa with pan-fried pasta, zuchini, beans, carrots and brocolli.<\/P><br \/>\n<P><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cyber.law.harvard.edu\/blogs\/static\/snarl\/040317turkeykielbasa0001.jpg\" height=\"480\" width=\"640\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\"><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Walking in a winter wonderland&#8230;&#8221; I think I may have been the only person excited about last night&#8217;s snowfall.
