Today is definitely a sunshine day. It’s mid-February in Boston…and it’s going to be sunny and in the 50’s for the second day in a row. Of course, we’re all going to live to regret it when the temperature drops 30+ degrees tomorrow with 60 mile per hour winds. But let’s enjoy it while we can, shall we? Besides, has anybody else noticed that there’s still daylight out at 5PM? YAY!

Last night (Wednesday) was my one night a week where I don’t have any post-work obligations. Sven came over for a spell before catching a flight to Atlanta. Then I did nothing. I should have done homework, but didn’t. I should have done laundry, but didn’t. I should have cleaned the apartment a bit, but didn’t. I did balance my checkbook, though.

Tonight I’ve got Jason coming over for dinner and Rummy. I was also invited to see the latest Ryan Landry play tonight (with Mike). His plays can be hit or miss, but when they hit they are freaking hilarious. For those not familiar with his work, Ryan runs a drag theatre troupe called the Goldust Orphans and takes famous plays/movies (Carrie, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Stepford Wives, etc..) and turns them into campy drag comedies. His latest is Death of a Saleslady. I wonder if Jason would rather do that instead?

I’ve got nothing exciting planned for the holiday weekend. Mike and I are getting together on Saturday…and I also know that I’ll need to do class work for a good chunk of the weekend. I have a paper due in a week and based on that horrible grade (B) I got on the paper for the other class, I need to put some additional effort into this one.

Oh, and despite the bust that my last trip to New York City was, I’m feeling the travel bug again. I’m not sure what to do or where to go, but travel seems to be popping up in conversation a lot lately which must be a sign that I need to be someplace, anyplace but here. I know Candy wants me to come down to Fort Lauderdale, and I’m considering that for late March or April. Maybe I should take a long weekend someplace before then, too? I need something to control this restlessness.

The Brady’s sang it best. Today is definitely a sunshine day.
