I had to take public transit in to work this morning since I&#8217;m going straight to the train station after work to\u00a0visit my mother at the hospital on the Cape.<\/p>\n<p>Taking public transit to work\u00a0involves walking\u00a010 minutes or so, waiting for a bus, taking the bus for 5-7 minutes, transfering to the subway, going two stops, then walking 7-10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The bus and train arrived with no delays. In fact, everything about the trip was ideal (in terms of timing). However, the walking! It&#8217;s September so I&#8217;m ready for 50 degrees days already. But the mid-70&#8217;s temperatures and humidity resulted in me arriving at work with my off-white shirt nearly transparent because it was so saturated from sweat.<\/p>\n<p>Nasty!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m now shirtless in my office with my shirt on the air-conditioning vent\u00a0to dry\u00a0off (yes, I have a private office).<\/p>\n<p>Autumn can&#8217;t come soon enough.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yep, you heard it right&#8230;today I realize how thankful I am for the scooter.
