The cloud cover of the past few weeks had hidden the fact that the sun is setting later and later. And since my work day ends at 4:45, I was able to walk to the train station with some remaining day light! And then this morning, despite a temperature of 1 degree, I woke up to find that it wasn’t pitch black outside (it was still dark – but you could see that dawn was taking place).

YAY! It makes these temperatures just that much more bearable.

And speaking of bears (bearable=bear…get it?). Matt and I know somebody who died last year of a heart attack at 48 years old (he was discovered on the floor of his house one evening when a group of friends arrived for their weekly “Survivor” tv-show viewing). Anyway, Matt forwarded me a link to the Yahoo Personals ad that he had placed before he died. The creepy thing is that a) Yahoo keep sending a profile of a dead man to Matt as a potential mate, and b) it says that his account has been active within the past 3 months (even though he died nearly a year ago).

I guess it’s also creepy that Yahoo seems to think that Matt’s attracted to bears – when, in fact, that would be me.

It seems that over the past few weeks, we’ve had either rain, snow, freezing rain, or cloud cover every single day.
