You may (or may not) be happy to know that I have potentially found a new addiction to call my own. Believe it or not, this time it’s not even television related! In fact, this one harks back to a time when families owned only one TV (probably black-and-white) and spent their quality family time actually talking with each as opposed to talking back to a TV screen.<\/P>
\n

I’m talking about Flinch.<\/P>
\n

Rich and I went over to our friend’s, Ben and Brad’s place yesterday. We started the day by playing a game called Pervartistry. It’s a combination of Pictionary and Charades…except all of the words and phrases are sexual in nature. For example, we had to act out the phrase “nude sunbathing” and “strap on sex”  in a charades question…and we had to sketch “tickle the pickle” and “ribbed for her pleasure” during a drawing question. I’m proud to say that we played four rounds, switching partners every game, and my team managed to win each game. I’m not sure what that says about me (does that mean I’m the most pervy of the bunch…or that I just sketch better)?<\/P>

After playing Pervartistry, we were craving more game playing – and that’s where Flinch came into the picture. Brad went into the closet (and trust me – he’s NEVER been in the closet) and pulled out this old box with the most hilarious retro graphics. Of course, these graphics weren’t really retro because they were the original thing…the box was from 1962! Anyway, he and Ben have been together for 18 years and this was the first time this game had been pulled out and played. But Brad said he loved the game as a kid so we gave it a shot.<\/P>

It was such fun! I can’t even begin to explain how it works…but the goal is to get rid of 10 cards in your stock pile. We ended up playing this game quite a few times, too (I won only once…probably because it’s a wholesome game and I’m apparently not all that wholesome).<\/P>

I did look on-line and the game is still available to buy (for only ($9.95). Unfortunately, the graphics aren’t as fun. Perhaps with my Pervartistry sketching skills, I could create my own X-rated box cover?<\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
