I was rather shocked to hear the news about Anna Nicole Smith’s death yesterday. I found out shortly before leaving work and, to be honest, I felt a bit sad. Yeah, she was a train wreck, but even at her peaks (and she had many…from Playboy to Guess model to her TV show) there was an element of sadness.<\/p>\n
True, she married a near-death rich guy. True, she (at times) had lots of money. But she was raised dirt poor, got knocked up young, worked at a strip club to survive. She didn’t always have it good…and when she did have it good, she had issues with addictions. She didn’t always make the best choices, but she wasn’t cold-hearted or mean (from what I could tell) except to Bobby Trendy…but he deserved it.<\/p>\n
Anyway, I just feel sad.\u00a0I don’t know what the coroner is going to determine (drug overdose? heart failure?\u00a0bad flu?) but\u00a0after\u00a0her\u00a0new baby was born and her son died just a few days later, the media was relentless. The past few months must have been horrible\u00a0for her and I can’t imagine that somehow didn’t play a factor. Poor thing.<\/p>\n
Plus, her show had a catchy theme song.<\/p>\n
Oh, and then my Mom called this morning to say Dusty, the 3 year old Shih Tzu, has been diagnosed with arthritis! The poor thing. Sometimes when my parent pick her up she’ll moan in pain. Now she’s on medication to help with the arthritis…and she’s only 3! ugh.<\/p>\n
