For details, and the current committee members, see the WMF&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wikimediafoundation.org\/wiki\/Audit_committee\">Audit Committee page<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/wikimediafoundation.org\/wiki\/Audit_charter\">Audit Committee charter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I currently serve as the Audit Committee chair. \u00a0We are forming the committee for 2015-16, and are looking for\u00a0volunteers from the community.<\/p>\n<p>Members serve on the\u00a0Committee for one year, from July through July.\u00a0\u00a0The Foundation files its annual tax return in the U.S. in April, and publishes its annual plan in June. \u00a0Committee members include trustees\u00a0from the Foundation\u2019s board and contributors from\u00a0across the Wikimedia movement.<\/p>\n<p>Time commitment for the committee is modest: reviews are carried out\u00a0via\u00a0three or four conference calls over the course of the year. \u00a0The primary requirement is financial literacy: some\u00a0experience with finance, accounting or auditing.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in joining\u00a0the Committee for the coming year, please email me at <strong>sj<\/strong>\u00a0at <strong>wikimedia.org<\/strong> with your CV, and your thoughts on how you could contribute.
