General<br \/>\ndiscusses his inspirations, and those of the designers of the Uzi and the M-16. \u00a0It is short, and worth a read.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Once when I was thinking it over, I recalled our specialist term \u2013 ricochet. At least the three of us \u2013 Eugene Stoner, Uziel Gal, and me \u2013 developed guns to do away with fascists as soon as possible\u2026 But the bullets fired from the \u041c16 hit Vietnamese people who fought to unite their homeland.
