The Guides are written by business experts who can now share their expertise with others through a new form of \u201cExpert Generated Content\u201d (EGC).&#8221;\u00a0 The Guides are touted as combining &#8220;the informative, editorial aspects of articles with the action-orientation of search results.&#8221;\u00a0 The authors help readers weed through the excess of information that is often provided by search engine queries, by suggesting especially helpful resources.<\/font><\/font><\/div>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"49\" alt=\"thumbUp\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/shlep\/files\/2006\/08\/thumbUp.gif\" width=\"40\" \/>\u00a0Work.com also has a <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.work.com\/community\/\"><em>Community weblog<\/em><\/a>.<em>\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0Of even more interest to <em>shlep<\/em>, it has created many How-to-Guides related to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.work.com\/legal\/\"><strong><em>legal issues<\/em><\/strong><\/a> faced by small businesses (<em>i.e.<\/em>, forms, records, regulations, IP, Licenses and Permits, incorporation and more).\u00a0 For example, check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.work.com\/laws\/\"><strong>Guides on Law<\/strong><\/a> page, which has a lengthy list of Guides on particular laws and topics (e.g., COBRA, Required Labor Law posters, Hiring the Disabled).\u00a0 The Work.com <a href=\"http:\/\/www.work.com\/legal\/\">approach to legal self-help<\/a> is one that we can applaud:\u00a0<\/font><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">&#8220;When it comes to the legalities of starting and operating a small business, very little seems truly simple, fair, low-cost or accessible. So arming yourself with legal solutions when and where you need them will be important to your growth and profitability.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Knowing how to avoid legal trouble in the first place, and how to respond to legal problems when they come up, is the essence of what you will find in Work.com Legal channel How-to Guides. The solutions here are wide ranging and comprehensive, from showing you where to find expert legal help for your business in your area, to the everyday legal matters you can handle yourself with free forms and documents that you can download from the Internet.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><\/font><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">There is much too much content for me to review, but I want to point to a very useful How-to-Guide by Work.com editor <\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/members.work.com\/Daniel-Kehrer\"><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">Daniel Kehrer<\/font><\/a><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">, titled\u00a0<\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/www.work.com\/doityourself-legal-help-91\/\"><strong><em><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">Guide to Do-It-Yourself Legal Help<\/font><\/em><\/strong><\/a><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">, which has the tag\u00a0&#8220;Lawyers are vital, but expensive.
