The Tango craze of the early 20th Century is captured in this unique publication by Samuel Beach Chester. He states in the beginning of the book:<\/p>\n

“Whether the Tango is due to insanity, or whether the
\ninsanity is due to the Tango, it is impossible to say! But
\nthe Tango lives, thrives and nourishes in thousands of
\nheads which govern feet, large and small \u2014 feet which dance
\nto Paradise or perdition, as the case may be. Even the
\nGerman Emperor, who has lost much of his former glory
\nas a notorious person, threatens to re-enter the arena of
\nfame, again, by his association, or disassociation, with the
\nTango!”<\/p>\n
