Temporarily?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just noticed that <a href=\"http:\/\/groups.google.com\/advanced_search?q=&amp;\">google groups historical search<\/a> doesn&#8217;t work anymore. \u00a0That means we have no access to most of the <strong>history of the Internet<\/strong>. \u00a0All of those flamewars&#8230; \u00a0all those snarky comments&#8230; \u00a0gone!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/digilib.gmu.edu:8080\/dspace\/html\/1920\/2053\/usenet.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/answers.yahoo.com\/question\/index?qid=20090127192431AAoNFxe\">This comment<\/a> complains about the fact that there is only one provider for historical search of usenet newsgroups. \u00a0I can&#8217;t find any other usenet search engines that keep more than a few hundred days online. \u00a0So much for Internet history, or anyway <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/googlegroups\/archive_announce_20.html\">USENET history<\/a>. \u00a0Where will the children of the future learn about legendary <strong>trolls<\/strong>? \u00a0How will they meet <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldlingo.com\/ma\/enwiki\/en\/BIFF\"><strong>B1FF<\/strong><\/a>?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just noticed that google groups historical search doesn&#8217;t work anymore. \u00a0That means we have no access to most of the history of the Internet. \u00a0All of those flamewars&#8230; \u00a0all those snarky comments&#8230; \u00a0gone!
