Glioma are freqeuntly entertwined with vasculature of varying sizes in the peritumoral regions. Hence, the difficulty of surgery for glioma in the sylvian fissure where the caliber and number of these vessels can be quite high. John Henson and colleagues bring forth some epidemiology aspects to this, documenting the frequency of the event.
