We progressive Christians have to recognize that fact and start<br \/>\noffering the Gospel, with clarity, with confidence, the Gospel that God<br \/>\nis here, now.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/saltyvicar.typepad.com\/salt\/2004\/08\/a_brief_point_a.html\">And this<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;When reading [conservative] blogs, you&#8217;ll find a lot of ridicule about<br \/>\n&#8220;inclusion.&#8221; They will attempt to diminish the radical power of &#8220;love<br \/>\nthy neighbor.&#8221; They caricature the liberal understanding of love by<br \/>\nconflating it with the &#8220;anything goes&#8221; gospel&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>But, ye liberals, if someone ridicules &#8220;inclusion&#8221; you may bring up<br \/>\nSamaritans; you may bring up the Moabites, and you may bring up the<br \/>\nrules of hospitality. I advise, however, not to play the game. <\/p>\n<p>Instead remind them that we don&#8217;t worship inclusion. Instead, it is<br \/>\nsimply a practical way of bringing people to God. Surely, God invites<br \/>\nus into his love. This is what we mean by inclusion.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Inclusion&#8221; is a tactic.
