{"id":1408,"date":"2004-03-12T15:20:18","date_gmt":"2004-03-12T19:20:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/nateptest\/2004\/03\/12\/just-a-couple-of-links\/"},"modified":"2004-03-12T15:20:18","modified_gmt":"2004-03-12T19:20:18","slug":"just-a-couple-of-links","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/natep\/2004\/03\/12\/just-a-couple-of-links\/","title":{"rendered":"Just a couple of links&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a name='a298'><\/a><\/p>\n<p>AKMA posts <a href=\"http:\/\/akma.disseminary.org\/archives\/001233.html\">an excellent summary<\/a> of the MAJOR problem with the theology of substitutionary atonement, especially as portrayed by Mel Gibson.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nNew York Times noted the following, in an article about President<br \/>\nBush&#8217;s address to the National Association of Evangelicals meeting:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p> One of the few discordant notes at the convention came<br \/>\nfrom Robert Schuller, a televangelist and senior pastor of the Crystal<br \/>\nCathedral in Garden Grove, Calif., who delivered an address gently<br \/>\ncriticizing some conservative evangelical Christians for acting as if<br \/>\nthey know the only possible route to salvation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What<br \/>\nupsets me about religious leaders of all faiths is that they talk like<br \/>\nthey know it all, and anybody who doesn&#8217;t agree with them is a<br \/>\nheretic,&#8221; he said later in an interview.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Schuller said he<br \/>\ndid not know enough about the proposed amendment banning same-sex<br \/>\nmarriage to express a view.
