Dear Mr. Graf, dear friends,<\/p>\n

Continuation of the letter of last week (from an article on the World Socialist Website: \u201cDer Tod des sechsjaehrigen Joseph Abdulla\u201d, by Dietmar Henning, 30 November 2000, www.wsws.org\/de\/2000\/nov2000\/jose-n30.shtml):<\/p>\n

\u201cThe German neo-Nazi party known as the NPD (Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands) has about 1000 members in the state of Saxony. This is a higher membership figure than in most other German states. The party is represented on the Sebnitz city council by Johannes Mueller, a physician. The party received 6.5 percent of the vote in the last city elections. The surrounding area, known as the \u2018Saechsische Schweiz\u2019 or the \u2018Switzerland of Saxony\u2019, is the stronghold of neo-Nazi activities. A group known as \u2018Skinheads Saechsische Schweiz\u2019 is reputed to be the best organized and also \u2013 as a police raid recently demonstrated \u2013 a heavily-armed and militant Nazi group. An association called the \u2018White Warrior Crew Sebnitz\u2019, a group close to the NPD, is active in Sebnitz itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201eDie NPD hat in Sachsen mit rund 1000 Mitgliedern einen ihrer st\u00e4rksten Landesverb\u00e4nde und ist in Sebnitz mit dem Arzt Johannes M\u00fcller im Stadtrat vertreten. Sie erhielt bei der Kommunalwahl 6,5 Prozent. Die S\u00e4chsische Schweiz gilt als Hochburg neonazistischer Umtriebe; die “Skinheads S\u00e4chsische Schweiz” gelten als bestorganisierte – und wie j\u00fcngste eine Razzia zeigte: schwerbewaffnete – militante Nazigruppe. Auch in Sebnitz selbst ist mit der “White Warrior Crew Sebnitz” eine NPD-nahe Kameradschaft t\u00e4tig.\u201c<\/p>\n
