Dear Mr. Graf, dear friends,<\/p>\n

The last sentence that Jean-Paul read last week from the sworn statement made by the young boy Daniel Steiner on 13 February 2000 was, \u201cSandro Richter put a towel over him so nobody could see. Joseph wasn\u2019t kicking any more. I think he was already gone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jean-Paul continued reading: \u201cThey dragged Joseph past the control room, around the outer edge of the pool, along the seats by the bubbling water to the deep pool, near the corner where the hedge is. The people belonging to the group were already standing there at the edge of the pool: Ute Schneider, Ronny Kunte, Kai Bleschke, Rene Grossman, Maik Heymann (who\u2019s a member of the \u201cPower of Saechsischen Schweiz\u201d), Alexander Paetzold, the daughter of Herr Lustig (who makes a living as a professional expert witness). Holger Ellmer was also there. Frau Schuster was there too, the heavy-set employee of the Marien Pharmacy with the plump face. Jens Busch, who lives on Long Street, stood one or two meters away from the group and looked on the whole time.<\/p>\n

The tall, dark man named Winkler, who lives in the same building we live in on Rosenstrasse, stood at the corner near the round flower bed together with Ronny Siebert and also just watched the whole thing. Ronny Siebert too just looked on without doing anything when they pushed Joseph under the water. I saw how Maik Hauke and Sandro Richter threw Joseph, without the towel, into the deep water. Sandro Richter and Maik Hauke jumped on top of Joseph. Joseph was lying face down on the bottom of the deep pool. Both of them jumped around on him. The heavy-set attendant was in the control room and saw the way Joseph was being worked over. She didn\u2019t do anything. Joseph wasn\u2019t moving any more. He lay the whole time on the bottom of the deep pool. I think when they threw Joseph into the water, he was already dead, because he wasn\u2019t moving.<\/p>\n

The group just mentioned looked on and laughed, even the heavy-set Frau Schuster laughed. They jumped around on him for about two minutes. Then the two of them were out of the water, and now the three younger guys, Rene Gro\u00dfmann, Kai Bleschke and Ronny Kunte were in. They held Joseph underwater at the bottom, Joseph wasn\u2019t moving anymore. In no way was any of this a game, but something really cruel. As I watched how Maik Hauke and Sandro Richter carried Joseph away and then threw him into the water and were jumping around on him, I was standing, so I could see everything better, with an older boy – I don\u2019t know his name \u2013 on the grassy area diagonally across from the control room, there where the foot basin with the shower is. Even when Joseph was on the pool bottom, lifeless, the whole group that I just mentioned was standing together and laughing. The three boys left the group, and then they laughed.<\/p>\n

Sehr geehrter Herr Graf, sehr geehrte Freunde,<\/p>\n

Der letzte Satz, den Jean-Paul letzte Woche aus der Eidesstaatlichen Versicherung vom 13.02.2000 von dem kleinen Jungen Daniel Steiner vorgelesen hat, lautete, \u201eSandro Richter tat ein Handtuch \u00fcber ihn, dass man ihn nicht so sieht. Joseph hat nicht mehr gestrampelt, meiner Meinung war er schon weg.\u201c<\/p>\n

Jean-Paul fuhr fort, die Eidesstaatliche Versicherung vorzulesen: \u201eSie schleppten Joseph am Kontrollraum vorbei, um das ganze Becken herum, entlang den Sprudelsitzen zum tiefen Becken in der N\u00e4he der Ecke zur Hecke hin. Dort standen schon die zur Gruppe geh\u00f6renden Personen am Beckenrand: Ute Schneider, Ronny Kunte, Kai Bleschke, Rene Gro\u00dfmann, Maik Heymann (Mitglied der Power of S\u00e4chsischen Schweiz), Alexander P\u00e4tzold, die Tochter von Expert Lustig. Holger Ellmer kam dann hinzu. Frau Schuster, die dicke Angestellte von der Marien-Apotheke mit dem molligen Gesicht, stand auch dabei. Jens Busch, der auf der Lange Stra\u00dfe wohnt, stand ein bis zwei Meter von der Gruppe entfernt und guckte die ganze Zeit zu.<\/p>\n

Der gro\u00dfe, dunkle Winkler, der bei uns im Haus auf der Rosenstra\u00dfe wohnte, stand an der Ecke zum Rondell hin, zusammen mit Ronny Siebert und beobachtete das ganze auch. Auch Ronny Siebert sah tatenlos zu wie sie Joseph untertauchten. Ich habe gesehen wie Maik Hauke und Sandro Richter Joseph ohne Handtuch ins tiefe Wasser warfen. Sandro Richter und Maik Hauke sind auf Joseph gesprungen. Joseph lag mit dem Bauch auf dem Boden des tiefen Beckens. Beide sind auf ihm rumgehopst. Die dicke Aufpasserin hat sich am Kontrollraum aufgehalten, sah zu wie Joseph bearbeitet wurde, ohne etwas zu unternehmen. Joseph hat sich nicht mehr bewegt, er lag die ganze Zeit am Boden des tiefen Beckens. Ich glaube, als sie Joseph ins Wasser warfen, war er schon tot, da er sich nicht bewegte.<\/p>\n

Die oben genannte Gruppe am Beckenrand sah zu und lachte dabei, auch die dicke Frau Schuster lachte. Sie haben ungef\u00e4hr zwei Minuten auf ihm rumgehopst. Dann sind die beiden raus und die drei Jungen, Rene Gro\u00dfmann, Kai Bleschke und Ronny Kunte rein. Sie haben Joseph auf dem Boden unter Wasser festgehalten, Joseph hat sich aber nicht mehr bewegt. Dies geshah auf keinen Fall spielerisch, sondern in Brutaler Art und Weise. Als ich beobachtete, wie Maik Hauke und Sandro Richter Joseph wegtrugen und sie ihn dann ins Wasser schmissen und sie auf ihn herumhopsten, stand ich, um das ganze besser zu beobachten, zusammen mit einem mir unbekannten \u00e4lteren Jungen, auf der Wiese schr\u00e4g gegen\u00fcber dem Kontrollraumes, dort wo die Dusche am Fu\u00dfbecken ist. Auch wie Joseph leblos auf dem Beckengrund, stand die ganze oben genannte Gruppe zusammen und lachte. Die drei Jungen sind dann raus zur Gruppe und haben dann gelacht.<\/p>\n
