My <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through\">old<\/span> long-time friends Jon Alpert and Manana Aslamazyan (at left, expressing their love for each other with the help of a horse) are finding out, as t<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/mediarepublic\/files\/2009\/04\/lehavre.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-280\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/mediarepublic\/files\/2009\/04\/lehavre-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a>hey travel with a group of young journalists from the South Caucasus (2 each from Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan). The journalists are all part of the team that makes an amazing weekly pan-Caucasus youth TV program called &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.internews.org\/profiles\/irakli.shtm\">Kid&#8217;s Crossroads<\/a>.&#8221; The trip is taking place on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dctvny.org\">Downtown Community Television<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/mediarepublic\/files\/2009\/04\/paris.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-279\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/mediarepublic\/files\/2009\/04\/paris-168x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"168\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>world-famous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvbus.org\/\">Cybercar<\/a>, which was shipped from NYC to Europe for the trip. After a couple days in Paris, the group headed out into the countryside toward Lyon, where they talked to journalists at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.euronews.net\/\">Euronews<\/a> and to students from around the world at\u00a0 the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.islyon.org\/\">International\u00a0School\u00a0of Lyon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The cyberbus i<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/mediarepublic\/files\/2009\/04\/bus2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-277\" style=\"float: right\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/mediarepublic\/files\/2009\/04\/bus2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>s a travelling video production studio and talk show set &#8211; the visitors from the Caucasus hold &#8220;town meetings&#8221; where they can show video stories they&#8217;ve\u00a0 produced at home and discuss them. At the same time, they&#8217;re filming and interviewing people everywhere they go. The trip is part of a project funded by the European Commission&#8217;s European Neighbourhood and Pa<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/mediarepublic\/files\/2009\/04\/euronews.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-274\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/mediarepublic\/files\/2009\/04\/euronews-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>rtnership Instrument (<a href=\"\/\/www.euromedinfo.eu\/site.0.enpieast.en.39.html?PHPSESSID=df59145a83466fab4a71c25efb1d4842\">ENPI<\/a>) through a grant to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internews.fr\">Internews Europe<\/a> in partnership with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internews.ge\">Internews Georgia,<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/internews.am\/\">Internews Armenia<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internews.az\">Internews Azerbaijan<\/a>. Today they made it to Strasbourg and the European Parliament. If my previous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dctvny.org\/productions\/TRAC.html\">experience<\/a> with the Cybercar with Jon and 6 R<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/mediarepublic\/files\/2009\/04\/townmeeting.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-272\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/mediarepublic\/files\/2009\/04\/townmeeting-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>ussian journalists is any guide, everyone involved is having a life-changing experience.
