Architecture for Contemporary Muslim Societies; Islamic Hip hop and Punk Rock<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

In this week I focused on\u00a0manifestations of “Islam” in politics\u00a0and structured a piece of artwork,\u00a0a collage, around the idea of a\u00a0social critique of some of\u00a0the leaders\u00a0in the Muslim World. I chose to have a myriad of leaders such as Gaddafi, Egyptians Mohomed Morsi, Mubarak, and Adbel Fattah El-Sisi, the Shah and Ayatolah of Iran, and King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Asif Ali Zardari, Talaat Pasha, Bashar\u00a0Al-Assad, and Hussein to name some in juxtaposition with\u00a0the wave of new more liberal and free leaders. Two of these such leaders that I am optimistic are bringing in a new era of goverment and reform are\u00a0Joko Widodo the recently elected\u00a0Indonesian president and King Mohammed the 6th of Morocco.<\/p>\n
