<IMG hspace=\"15\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hyperorg.com\/blogger\/images\/face\/davidnow.jpg\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"5\"> <FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\">Here we go again (a) in the&nbsp;spoken-word tour of the Blogosphere and (b) in the soaring of spirits around the Internet in general.&nbsp; Isn&#8217;t it beginning to feel just a little like 1994 again?&nbsp; <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P><br \/>\n<P><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; There are three conversations here with the penetrating, poetic and passionate <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.evident.com\/index.html\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">David Weinberger<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">.&nbsp; He is not just an exemplary <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.hyperorg.com\/blogger\/\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">blogger<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\"> with a firm grip on the technology and on its political, cultural, even philosophical implications.&nbsp; He is also a prophetic book writer, often cited by reviewers as the Marshall McLuhan of the Web.&nbsp; First, with co-authors, was&nbsp;<\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.cluetrain.com\/\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">The Cluetrain Manifesto<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\"> (1999) and &#8220;95 Theses&#8221; about the implications of Web connectivity for business and consumers.&nbsp; More recently came <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.smallpieces.com\/\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">Small Pieces Loosely Joined<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\"> (2002)&#8211;an argument that the Web is transforming our ideas of Space, Time, Knowledge, Culture, Community and&#8211;someday&#8211;Truth and Beauty.&nbsp; David Weinberger has his doctorate in modern philosophy from the University of Toronto, so he is at home with cosmic ideas.&nbsp; He would tell you straight out that the Web is one of the big ideas of all time&#8211;that we&#8217;re standing at a breakpoint in all human history.<\/FONT><\/P><br \/>\n<P><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/media.skybuilders.com\/lydon\/weinberger\/mono1.mp3\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">Part One<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">: The <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/media.skybuilders.com\/lydon\/weinberger\/mono1.mp3\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">Internet Reflation<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">&nbsp;(about 6 minutes) is on the general transformation of everything by the Web&#8211;no matter the crash of Internet stocks.<\/FONT><\/P><br \/>\n<P><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/media.skybuilders.com\/lydon\/weinberger\/mono2.mp3\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">Part Two<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">: The <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/media.skybuilders.com\/lydon\/weinberger\/mono2.mp3\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">Media<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">&nbsp;Turned Upside Down&nbsp;(about 9 minutes) continues the conversation on Blogging and the institutional media.&nbsp; Knowing&nbsp;the right list of&nbsp;100 bloggers is more important than reading the New York Times,&nbsp;David Weinberger&nbsp;says (and he&#8217;s still a Times reader and fan.)<\/FONT><\/P><br \/>\n<P><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/media.skybuilders.com\/lydon\/weinberger\/mono3.mp3\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">Part Three<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">: The <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/media.skybuilders.com\/lydon\/weinberger\/mono3.mp3\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">Dean<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\"> of Bloggery (about 7 minutes) considers the gusher of commentary around <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/blog.deanforamerica.com\/index.html\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">Howard Dean&#8217;s<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\"> guest&nbsp;shot on <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/cyberlaw.stanford.edu\/lessig\/blog\/\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\">Larry Lessig&#8217;s<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"4\"> page.&nbsp; Dr. Dean surely knew how to make the right first impression there.&nbsp; &#8220;The Internet,&#8221; he opened, &#8220;might soon be the last place on earth where open dialog occurs.&#8221;<\/FONT><\/P><br \/>\n<P><FONT size=\"4\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\"> And here we are&#8211;with the producer Mary McGrath in the middle&#8211;&nbsp;recording the Weinberger conversation at Bob Doyle&#8217;s <STRONG><A href=\"http:\/\/www.skybuilders.com\">skyBuilders<\/A><\/STRONG> headquarters in Cambridge, MA.&nbsp; <A href=\"http:\/\/www.skybuilders.com\/users\/bob\/bios\/biopics.html\">Bob Doyle<\/A> gets a lot of the credit here, and the photo credit, too.<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P><br \/>\n<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
