Petri [Leipzig? Breitkopf &amp; H\u00e4rtel? 1914?]. Mus 633.5.621<\/p>\n<p>Busoni&#8217;s first opera, with a libretto by the composer based on E.T.A. Hoffmann&#8217;s short story of the same title, from <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=AXo9AAAAYAAJ&amp;pg=PA23\" target=\"_blank\">Die Serapions-br\u00fcder<\/a>. Mus 633.5.615<\/p>\n<p>A vocal score of Busoni&#8217;s Mozartian one-act number opera, centered on the acrobatic Harlequin figure of the <em>Commedia dell&#8217;arte<\/em>: his first stylistic foray into <em>Junge Klassizit\u00e4t<\/em> (Young Classicality). The work premiered on May 11, 1917, with Busoni&#8217;s <em>Turandot<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear: left\"><strong>Franz Schreker<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4. <a href=\"http:\/\/nrs.harvard.edu\/urn-3:fhcl.loeb:4579975\" target=\"_blank\">Das Spielwerk und die Prinzessin<\/a>: Oper in einem Vorspiel und zwei Aufz\u00fcgen. Wien: Universal-Edition, c1912. Mus 800.42.621<\/p>\n<p>Schreker&#8217;s third opera, strongly influenced by Symbolism and later extensively revised to become <em>Das Spielwerk<\/em>. This copy of the score includes the spoken interlude &#8220;Des Burschen Traum in der H\u00fctte des Meisters Florian&#8221; (&#8220;The Boy&#8217;s dream in the cabin of Meister Florian&#8221;), performed only for radio broadcast and not included in the libretto published in 1913.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexander Zemlinsky<\/strong><br \/>\n<a title=\"Portraitserie Alexander von Zemlinsky\" href=\"http:\/\/www.europeana.eu\/portal\/record\/01004\/F29D261B655D6D26A592AC74B8DFC4AEB48968AB.html?bt=eo\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.europeana.eu\/portal\/record\/01004\/F29D261B655D6D26A592AC74B8DFC4AEB48968AB.png?resize=162%2C251\" alt=\"Portraitserie Alexander von Zemlinsky\" width=\"162\" height=\"251\" align=\"right\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n5. <a href=\"http:\/\/nrs.harvard.edu\/urn-3:fhcl.loeb:4341985\" target=\"_blank\">Eine florentinische Trag\u00f6die<\/a>: Oper in einem Aufzug : Op. 16. Klaren&#8217;s libretto for <a href=\"http:\/\/nrs.harvard.edu\/urn-3:fhcl.loeb:3744738\" target=\"_blank\">Der Zwerg<\/a>, Zemlinksy based his own libretto for <em>Eine florentinische Trag\u00f6die<\/em> on a work by Oscar Wilde: in this case, his unfinished play <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=xAIOAQAAMAAJ&amp;dq=wilde%20florentine%20tragedy&amp;pg=PA83\" target=\"_blank\">A Florentine Tragedy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>6. <a href=\"http:\/\/nrs.harvard.edu\/urn-3:fhcl.loeb:4341984\" target=\"_blank\">Kleider machen Leute<\/a>; musikalische Kom\u00f6die in einem Vorspiel und zwei Akten. Wien, New York, Universal-Edition, c1922. Mus 887.575.616<\/p>\n<p>A vocal score of the revised version of the comic opera, based on Gottfried Keller&#8217;s novella <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=5uwYAAAAYAAJ&amp;pg=PA11\" target=\"_blank\">Kleider machen Leute<\/a>.
