At long last, addressed the mess surrounding characters describing the various sorts of linking processes: got rid of character #26 and added a character state to #61 (now #60), and consolidated character states 2 and 4 and got rid of state 3 from character #28 (now #27). A bit of a huggledy-juggle, but it feels a bit cleaner and leaner now. Further, decided that characters #54 and #59 (carina vs. collar) describe the same thing, and consolidated them (by deleting #54). Also made the pseudonodulus character presence\/absence only, since there were so few taxa with that character at all.<\/p>\n<p>Not perfect, but it&#8217;s getting a little better. Goodbye, week.
