Heavy firing resumed about three hours <\/span><span class=\"a\">later. Just before dawn there were large explosions and multiple bursts of gunfire.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span class=\"a\">According to French Police statements, at least two suspect were killed, including <\/span><span class=\"a\">a person in the apartment who detonated a suicide vest. At least three police <\/span><span class=\"a\">were injured in the operation. A total of seven suspects found in\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span class=\"a\">the apartment, <\/span><span class=\"a\">an adjacent apartment, and in a nearby location were arrested. <\/span><span class=\"a\">A subsequent search operation ended about 11:30 am.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-503 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.harvard.edu\/kleelerner\/files\/2022\/07\/France-Paris-Saint-Denis-terrorism-raid-central-laboratory-van-3R5A8297-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/kleelerner\/files\/2022\/07\/France-Paris-Saint-Denis-terrorism-raid-central-laboratory-van-3R5A8297-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/kleelerner\/files\/2022\/07\/France-Paris-Saint-Denis-terrorism-raid-central-laboratory-van-3R5A8297-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/kleelerner\/files\/2022\/07\/France-Paris-Saint-Denis-terrorism-raid-central-laboratory-van-3R5A8297-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/> <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"a\">Onsite DNA testing was <\/span><span class=\"a\">used to identify both the dead and suspects undergoing interrogation. Cell <\/span><span class=\"a\">phones recovered may assist investigators in determining the location of other <\/span><span class=\"a\">Daesh cells. <\/span><span class=\"a\">Since the attacks, police in France, Belgium and other European countries have <\/span><span class=\"a\">raided more than 400 locations in search of suspects and intelligence. <\/span><span class=\"a\">Police later confirmed that Abdelhamid Abaaoud (also spelled Abdel-Hamid Abu <\/span><span class=\"a\">Oud), a Daesh jihadi based in Belgium was killed in the raid.
