{"id":12,"date":"2004-09-06T12:25:47","date_gmt":"2004-09-06T16:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/jackstriptoeurope\/2004\/09\/06\/the-simple-child-asks\/"},"modified":"2004-09-06T12:25:47","modified_gmt":"2004-09-06T16:25:47","slug":"the-simple-child-asks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/jackstriptoeurope\/2004\/09\/06\/the-simple-child-asks\/","title":{"rendered":"The simple child asks&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a name='a15'><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">Some of you have asked, what is this all about? <\/p>\n<p>Well, basically, I am on a 30-day trip to Europe.&nbsp; I am taking<br \/>\nthis trip<br \/>\nfor several reasons.&nbsp; For one, I will be visiting Poland with Dad,<br \/>\nSara, and Marie to retrace our grandparents&#8217; steps and to get some idea<br \/>\nof how they lived.&nbsp; Also, the resident portion at least of <a href=\"http:\/\/cyber.law.harvard.edu\/home\/jack_lerner\">my<br \/>\nwork<\/a> at the Berkman Center in Cambridge, MA has concluded, so I had the<br \/>\nfreedom to take such a trip.<\/p>\n<p>Here is my rough itinerary:<\/p>\n<p>2 September:&nbsp; Berlin with my good friend Melanie the Bavarian.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>8 September:&nbsp; Bavaria with Melanie.&nbsp; We&#8217;ll be in Dingolfing and Regensburg<\/p>\n<p>11 September:&nbsp; Vienna.&nbsp; I will be tracking down all the sites from <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">The Third Man<\/span> and just sightseeing.<\/p>\n<p>15 September:&nbsp; Rome with Dad, Sara, and Marie.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>20 September:&nbsp; Krakow, Poland, also with Dad, Sara and<br \/>\nMarie.&nbsp; We will be doing the &#8220;rediscovering our roots&#8221;<br \/>\nthing.&nbsp; We will also be taking overnight trips or day trips to<br \/>\nWarsaw, Lodz, and other local spots.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>30 September:&nbsp; Kansas City. <\/p>\n<p>7 October:&nbsp; San Francisco. <br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some of you have asked, what is this all about?
