A collaborative effort across many institutions, the resource provides readers with images of manuscripts held in multiple libraries and archives, and also offers an array of transcriptions of Dickinson\u2019s poems and digital tools intended to foster exploration and scholarship.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Users of the site can browse images of manuscripts by first line, date, or recipient, turn the pages of and zoom into the manuscripts, search the full text of six editions of Dickinson\u2019s poems, browse Emily Dickinson\u2019s Lexicon, a resource indexing Dickinson\u2019s word choices along with their contemporary definitions from Dickinson\u2019s dictionary, and create an account to make notes on images, save transcriptions of poems, and create new editions of her poetry.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/houghtonmodern\/files\/2013\/10\/EDA-screenshot.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-3060\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/houghtonmodern\/files\/2013\/10\/EDA-screenshot-1024x488.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"565\" height=\"269\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/houghtonmodern\/files\/2013\/10\/EDA-screenshot-1024x488.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/houghtonmodern\/files\/2013\/10\/EDA-screenshot-300x143.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/houghtonmodern\/files\/2013\/10\/EDA-screenshot.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 565px) 100vw, 565px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Houghton Library holds over a thousand Dickinson autograph manuscript poems, and all are included in EDA.\u00a0 Other Dickinson material not yet included can be accessed through the Library\u2019s guide to the <a href=\"http:\/\/hcl.harvard.edu\/libraries\/houghton\/collections\/modern\/dickinson.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">Emily Dickinson Collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We hope the site will be useful to teachers, scholars, editors, and Dickinson enthusiasts.
