Then noticed the following notice:\n<\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\nThere is a big problem with Position that I can&#8217;t fix. It was some mount=<br \/>\nhs since I&#8217;ve worked at it and, when I&#8217;ve lauched it to test some change=<br \/>\ns I&#8217;ve done in the last days, I&#8217;ve noticed that the download of the maps=<br \/>\n from www.vicinity.com doesn&#8217;t work anymore. This is because www.vicinit=<br \/>\ny.com has been buyied by Microsoft and the free download of the maps has=<br \/>\n been interrupt.<br \/>\n<\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nIt is amazing that much map and location based information is free.   Many<br \/>\napplications have been built to take advantage of them.  But forget not<br \/>\nlike anything else it costs money to MAINTAIN.  So can eventually<br \/>\nbecome payware of some sort if the organization that maintains that<br \/>\ndata gets bought out or goes under.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nA lot of geowanking has been going on from Hackers which I think<br \/>\nis very cool.
