{"id":891,"date":"2012-03-29T16:25:35","date_gmt":"2012-03-29T21:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/hfacollections\/?p=891"},"modified":"2012-03-29T16:25:35","modified_gmt":"2012-03-29T21:25:35","slug":"lederhosenfilm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/hfacollections\/2012\/03\/29\/lederhosenfilm\/","title":{"rendered":"Lederhosenfilm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are constantly amused by the items in the<a href=\"http:\/\/hcl.harvard.edu\/hfa\/collections\/just.html\" target=\"_blank\"> Lothar and Eva Just Film Stills Collection<\/a> that fall into the category we call Bavarian Softcore (see previous blog post on <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/hfacollections\/2010\/06\/14\/erotica\/\" target=\"_blank\">erotica<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Today, while working on the oeuvre\u00a0 of\u00a0 Sigi Rothemund, we discovered these films do have their own genre title, very close to the one we had assigned to it: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lederhosenfilm\" target=\"_blank\">Lederhosenfilm<\/a><\/em>, which apparently translates into &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bavarian_porn\" target=\"_blank\">Bavarian porn<\/a>,&#8221;\u00a0 a title that is far less amusing (and less descriptive!).<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_896\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/hfacollections\/files\/2012\/03\/candy-cola-and-chocolate-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-896\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-896\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/hfacollections\/files\/2012\/03\/candy-cola-and-chocolate-2-300x218.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/hfacollections\/files\/2012\/03\/candy-cola-and-chocolate-2-300x218.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/hfacollections\/files\/2012\/03\/candy-cola-and-chocolate-2-1024x747.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-896\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cola, Candy, Chocolate (Sigi Rothemund, 1979) lobby card<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The above image, from the instant classic COLA, CANDY, CHOCOLATE,\u00a0 apparently typical for the director <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0351486\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sigi Rothemund<\/a> (AKA Siggi G\u00f6tz), brilliantly incorporates two themes that will always be funny &#8211;
