And it is in the various fields of engineering that the need for change is greatest, because the student dropout rate in that area is alarming. \u2018We might end up wasting all of the advantages that came out of Bologna,\u2019 says Becker. All the universities with engineering curricula know that, especially the nine technical universities, but there is one difference. In contrast to other universities, those with engineering programs simply do not want the EU reform. Dabei w\u00e4re der Ver\u00e4nderungsbedarf gerade in den Ingenieurwissenschaften gewaltig, die Abbrecherquote ist alarmierend. Becker sagt: \u00bbWir w\u00fcrden die Vorteile von Bologna verspielen.\u00ab Das wissen wohl auch die AVI-Universit\u00e4ten \u2013 mit einem Unterschied: Sie wollen die Reform ja gar nicht.
