Revenge of the German Bureaucrats (Naturally Not at the Technical University of Munich) \u2013 8<\/p>\n
\u201cKohler has had frequent difficulties with the German \u2018technical universities.\u2019 The self-professed nine leading technical universities (the TU-9), including Woerner\u2019s university, Darmstadt, are all represented in the main German accrediting authority for engineering studies. The TU-9 are notorious as rebels against the idea that the bachelor\u2019s degree is of any importance. Only with a certain sullenness have they re-oriented their degree programs to include the new (for Germany) degree. Im AVI sind s\u00e4mtliche Mitglieder der so genannten TU-9 vertreten, der selbst erkl\u00e4rten neun f\u00fchrenden deutschen Technischen Hochschulen, zu denen auch Darmstadt geh\u00f6rt.
