Unfortunately, no attention was given to the fact that the head, the members, and the entire personnel structure of every German university is sick.<\/p>\n<p>In this country, normally the only way to become a professor is: first, by writing a second dissertation and thereby acquiring a postdoctoral lecturing qualification and then, second, by existing for a (hopefully short) time as an outside lecturer. (http:\/\/www.arwu.org\/ARWUFIELD2009ENG.jsp) According to The Times of London, in its Higher Education Supplement [THES], World University Rankings, 2009, the Technical University of Munich is ranked 55 overall among the world\u2019s universities. Dabei fand leider kaum Beachtung, wie krank an Haupt und Gliedern auch die Personalstruktur an den deutschen Universit\u00e4ten ist.<\/p>\n<p>Nur \u00fcber den Weg der Habilitation und einer im Idealfall kurzen Existenz als Privatdozent kann man in Deutschland normalerweise Professor werden.
