(NOTE: This report illustrates just how long and persistent German institutional memory can be, and who can embody it, even in cases where there may not be a direct link with a German university like the Technical University of Munich.)<\/p>\n
The German Federal Office of Criminal Investigation has confirmed that after reunification it hired a number of Stasi people \u2013 and twenty-three of them are there today. The Federal Interior Ministry emphasized that there is nothing new in this information.
