Interviewer: Frau Zaidenstadt, your husband later came forward as an official witness to events in the concentration camp. Were you and he treated with hostility in the post-war period?<\/p>\n Zaidenstadt: When my husband acted as a witness to history at the Dachau concentration memorial in 1995, there were some anonymous telephone calls.<\/p>\n Interviewer: What did the callers say?<\/p>\n Zaidenstadt: \u201cFilthy Jew,\u201d and things like that. I never said anything about that to my husband, though \u2013 that was the end of it. He died seven years ago. Aber ich habe das meinem Mann verschwiegen – fertig aus! Er ist vor sieben Jahren gestorben.
