They\u2019re discussing, in fluent English, at what point people are prepared to economize on their standard of living for the sake of the environment. Timo says, \u2018People in the Netherlands are an example of individuals behaving in an environmentally conscious way, because they know that if global warming continues, their country could be flooded. That\u2019s not an entirely selfless reason.\u2019 Sophie says, \u2018So what? It doesn\u2019t matter why people change their behaviour. Timo sagt: \u00bbDie Niederl\u00e4nder zum Beispiel verhalten sich auch deshalb umweltbewusst, weil sie wissen, dass das Land im Falle weiterer Erderw\u00e4rmung absaufen k\u00f6nnte.
