\u201cSometimes, though, what makes universities in the Netherlands attractive is less a matter of the academic brilliance of the instructors, but rather the atmosphere of laziness that exists at German universities. In addition, because so many courses are taught in English in the Netherlands, and because most citizens are so skilled in languages, even where everyday matters are concerned, international students can spend years in the country without having to understand a single sentence in Dutch.
