\u201cThat impression on the part of students from Germany is surely related to the sense of excitement and efficiency with which the new bachelor and master\u2019s degree programs were introduced in the Netherlands. Susanne Luedtke from the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst or German Academic Exchange Service) says, \u2018The Netherlands quickly changed all its universities over to the new system, completely. Universities there were thus able to avoid the confusing situation that we have in Germany, where the old degree programs still exist side by side with the new bachelor and master\u2019s programs.
