\u201cIn addition, the university, which is located in the \u2018three countries triangle\u2019 between Belgium and Germany, is not some spectacular isolated case. It is the expression of a surprising development: the Netherlands has become the country of first choice for German students studying abroad, ahead of the United States, France, and the United Kingdom. There are about 12,000 Germans studying in the country now \u2013 full time. Etwa 12000 Deutsche studieren in dem kleinen Land im Westen \u2013 und zwar in Vollzeit.
