Krupp, the owner of the company that bears his name, made Beitz his general manager with full powers of attorney, and Beitz played a decisive role in the post-war reconstruction and transformation of the prestigious German company. Even today, as chairman of the Krupp Foundation and honorary chairman of the board of directors of Thyssen-Krupp, he plays an important role in company affairs.
