My wife hid the children in the house. It was difficult to help the children, because I couldn\u2019t do with them what I did with the adults: save them by pretending they were indispensable workers and then giving them an I.D. card with my signature. That was impossible with the children. Some of them, though, we were able to hide in the house. We couldn\u2019t refuse to help them. It was completely natural somehow.
