You believe the \u2018Gymnasium\u2019** should continue to exist, and the other levels of German schooling should all be combined into one. Why don\u2019t you want to touch the privileges of the \u2018Gymnasium\u2019?<\/p>\n<p>\u201dLenzen: The \u2018Gymnasium\u2019 is \u2013 despite its drawbacks \u2013 the most successful type of school.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cZEIT: And the one most parents want their children to attend.<\/p>\n<p>Lenzen: It\u2019s also the one in which students do their best work. Sie hingegen pl\u00e4dieren f\u00fcr ein zweigliedriges Schulsystem. Das Gymnasium soll erhalten bleiben, die \u00fcbrigen Schulformen sollen in der sogenannten Sekundarschule aufgehen. Warum wollen Sie die Privilegien der Gymnasiasten nicht antasten?<\/p>\n<p>Lenzen: Das Gymnasium ist \u2013 trotz aller M\u00e4ngel \u2013 die erfolgreichste Schulform.<\/p>\n<p>ZEIT: Die beliebteste bei den Eltern.<\/p>\n<p>Lenzen: Aber auch in Bezug auf die Leistungen der Sch\u00fcler.
