A More Just Educational System in Germany \u2013 and at the Technical University of Munich? \u2013 5<\/p>\n
\u201cZEIT: Many of those demanding more justice in the German system of education believe they\u2019ve found a solution in the comprehensive school.* You, on the other hand, are a supporter of a two-tier school system. You believe the \u2018Gymnasium\u2019** should continue to exist, and the other levels of German schooling should all be combined into one. Why don\u2019t you want to touch the privileges of the \u2018Gymnasium\u2019?<\/p>\n \u201dLenzen: The \u2018Gymnasium\u2019 is \u2013 despite its drawbacks \u2013 the most successful type of school.<\/p>\n \u201cZEIT: And the one most parents want their children to attend.<\/p>\n Lenzen: It\u2019s also the one in which students do their best work. Warum wollen Sie die Privilegien der Gymnasiasten nicht antasten?<\/p>\n Lenzen: Das Gymnasium ist \u2013 trotz aller M\u00e4ngel \u2013 die erfolgreichste Schulform.<\/p>\n ZEIT: Die beliebteste bei den Eltern.<\/p>\n Lenzen: Aber auch in Bezug auf die Leistungen der Sch\u00fcler.
