German version below.)<\/p>\n<p>26 OCTOBER 2006, THURSDAY, DUSSELDORF, GERMANY<\/p>\n<p>Low Grades Again for German Education \u2013 Even at the Technical University of Munich? \u2013 2<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe OECD report is being made public simultaneously in several national capitals: Berlin, Paris, Washington, and Tokyo, among others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to the Deutsche Presse-Agentur, the new report acknowledges that there has been an improvement in German education this year, as there was a year earlier. This is shown above all by the introduction of the new bachelor and master\u2019s degrees at German universities, which allow students to more quickly acquire degrees that confirm their professional skills. Dies gilt vor allem f\u00fcr die Einf\u00fchrung der neuen gestuften Studienabschl\u00fcsse Bachelor und Master, mit denen schneller als bisher ein berufsqualifizierender Abschluss an den Hochschulen erworben werden kann.
