Burkhard Rauhut, Rector of the Aachen University of Technology conceded, ‘We just didn’t get our side of the question across.’ At the same time, he continued to criticize the students’ website. ‘Whoever examines the whole question carefully,’ he said, ‘can see right away that the website is quite dishonest, and in a calculated way. A few anonymous evaluations are enough to put a professor at the very top or the very bottom.’ Rauhut also said the university’s own evaluation process was much fairer and more transparent, although, except in a few cases, it is not made public.”

(To be continued)

Source: Jan-Martin Wiarda, „Die Angst der Profs vor dem Click“, Die Zeit, 31.08.2006.

“I feel like someone who has been attacked and injured by a group of thugs.
